Izmit

Izmit

A Poem by Snits

Right in the middle in Istanbul

Is the quake of Izmit

As powerful as a rodeo bull

Tearing houses and trees to the ground

Taking lives 'till all is sound

Shaking and rattling for all to see

Leaving no time for them to flee

New buildings they may have gotten

But this quake shall not be forgotten

About
I walk as a lonely shadow among the hustle of the city street. Amidst the shoes and wheels I sway. My dark outline follows the thousands of footsteps etched into the road. Leaving a story with.. more..
