Doodle 4 Google Contest Kicks Off for Aspiring K-12 U.S. Artists

“If I could travel in time, I’d visit…" Google logo doodle contest, deadline March 20

The annual Doodle 4 Google contest window has opened. The Google logo doodle contest is open to children grades K-12 in the U.S. This year, the contest theme is "If I could travel in time, I’d visit..."

Each state will have five finalists and a winner. A Crayola 64-crayon special edition box will feature the winner. A $30,000 college scholarship for the winning child, and $50,000 technology grant to the child's school will be awarded.The winning doodle will debut on Google's homepage on May 18. 

Contestants must complete the drawing and submit entry form  at the Doodle 4 Google website by March 20. The public vote takes place on May 2. Doodle 4 contest judges include singers Katy Perry and Jordin Sparks. All of the state winners will fly to New York City to attend the National Awards ceremony on May 17. The New York Public Library will exhibit all winners.
