There are days when you think it's gone

There are days you believe you won

It isn't…You didn't…

It never even left in the first place

Just lurking in the dark, giving you space

Ready to attack when you least expect it

You never even realize when it hit

It just loosened its hold on you only to grip you tighter

Then you realize that the weight never did get lighter

It was always there, underneath the fake happiness

It was always there, thriving in the darkness

It was always there, eating away at your heart

It was always there, ripping your soul apart

It fed on your insecurities and fears

It broke you down into tears

It grew and grew and grew

Till it became a part of you

It is you and you are it

You kill it…

You die too

I feel this piece and where you're coming from. sometimes it's hard to keep living, when remember the pain from the past, and sometimes from the present. I suppose all we can do is "keep on truckin", but sometimes I'm just like "what's the f*****g point?"
