Every guy has a girl he calls "the one that got away,"

Everyone knows a girl,
The one that got away,
The one that you wish you had dated,
And regret it to this day.

Maybe you still talk,
Maybe its just weird,
But the possibilities were endless,
Maybe this is what she feared.

Sometimes they tell you why,
Sometimes they never do,
But either way, it hurts inside,
And you feel unworthy too.

Confidence is shattered,

Thinking deep inside your heart,
"What is wrong with me?"

The secret you kept hidden,
Locked deep inside your soul,
Where it lied quiety biting,
Eating itself a hole.

Maybe she feels the same,
Maybe she missed it too,

A thousand days have passed,
But still you regret that day,
Some say that its too late,
But others, "what the hay."

Hey, this is good. But you could say this is fate instead of what the hay. Nice job on this, I like it. The rhyme scheme works and it flows really well.
