Walking down the lonely path,
Face so full of joy,
Diplomas that are full of names,
For every girl and boy.
But lurking round the corner,
That none of them can see,
Is the seperation,
Between the rwat and me.
Our high school was fun,
I will grant you that,
And the colleges they did their best,
To roll out the welcome mat.
But something just was different,
Nothing was the same,
Life was more objective,
Like some absurd and stupid game.
No more seeing all your friends every single day.
No more laughing during lunch to call Sir Duffy gay.
No more easy homework,
Because from here on out,
You're just one in 300 kids,
A whisper in a shout.
Your friends will drift away,
Some slow some very fast,
And though you swear it won't be so,
Alot will never last.
Even those who claim to love,
Oh yes it hits them hard,
One day you wake up and cry for hours,
A break up through a card.
But college is still awesome,
That no one can deny,
However that its all fun and games,
Is just one big fat lie.
