St. Jude

St. Jude

St. Jude

Romance has crashed; it’s stuck in the ditch

All hope is dashed while the wounds are being licked

The locks have been changed on your heart of stone

Anyway my key is all twisted and worn

St. Jude, say the weather men is bringing his storm

But we could never shake him from hanging around

Armageddon came down on our intimacies

The stage is now set for our final scenes

A heavenly chorus from a vaulted sky

The doves have flown, the orator still cries

There’s a darkness descending frighteningly fast

Like one last eclipse that will never pass

In the image of every woman I see

There’s a reminder of you when you were with me

But the roses have wilted with the whispered silken kisses

Your cinnamon smile is now miles from me

But really the most thing that’s bringing me down

Are all the happy a******s wandering this town.
