Pablo Neruda; (aka; Apollo the second),A Poem by sneerLove poemPablo Neruda; (aka; Apollo
the second),
Who paints graphic passions, Our passions of love. He can proclaim What I can only whisper, As you lie sleeping far away, Though under the same blanket
of shared stars.
He’s felt the flash of
tenderness and love In the brush of a finger tip He’s seen the glow of the
evening sun In the briefest glance
He knows the sound Of the unuttered words The mind will log forever As a symphony Drifting across distant
continents; The song of caressed skin
He knows, as all lovers do The nocturnal melancholy Of the separate lovers Clinging tightly to each
other Trying almost futilely To smother a universal loneliness, That without knowing Would render true love
useless
