Inside

Inside

A Poem by Wendy Sue

Do you see my insides?
Can you see my soul?
What shows on the surface, life can take it's toll.

I've looked young
I've looked old
Fat, thin, pretty, ugly, rested and tired.
I'm still in here
The same me
Longing for someone to know me, ask me, love me, hold me when I'm sad and lonely
And let me fly when I have wings.

Can you see me?

Sometimes people only see what they want to see and miss the greatest image of all - the real you! A great poignant piece my friend - makes you think about others (and yourself) in a more lateral thinking way! Bless... :-)

Thank you for reading me Phill. Who we are transcends our physical and ever changing beings, there.. read more
Actually ...yes, but that's just me - nothing special in it. This is a place where people can ...CAN... listen - to another, to even themselves.

I've seen the Faerie danse above frosted fields their wings a'glimmering within the shimmering moonlight. And the music haunts me still. Catch a breath and try yours...

You're seen. Everyone is seen. More than anyone themselves knows, they are seen. Buncha' people at the grocery store, just looking and seeing. It's all we do. You're seen. Big time.

Inside and out are uniquely you and relatively others. All natural ways to look at and unnatural ways to judge. Kudos.

Beauty is within. So many forget that and consider outward appearance instead. Your lines have universal appeal Wendy Sue.

I read so many poems like this, and I have probably written a few myself.
We want to be loved for who we are but most men are shallow and of those who say they aren't a large percent are probably lying. We have flaws, it's a rare man or woman who looks beyond. Anyway, I can relate.

From bad days to feathers of flight we need to be seen. Readers will relate to this lovely plea.
