Puzzled

Puzzled

A Poem by Wendy Sue

My heart is racing

Why am I sad?

Am I sad?

I am a puzzle, even to myself

How can I explain the solution to you?

Why does there have to be an objective?

I can't meet your expectations

Don't say you don't have any, we all do

I can't even meet my own.

Sometimes a person tries so very, very hard that they forget the why of what they are doing... and just get lost in the hows.

I think we're all like puzzles trying to solve our own life. so nicely written and expressed

We don't have to live up to another's expectation; our individuality defines who we are - and it should be a celebration! And - creative poetry - such as your write - can be the start of a journey of self discovery and hidden attributes - very nice piece … :-)

Seems familiar! How come some people write words as if to administer Band-Aids or similar. Or is seeing your thoughts, your hurt, spread in front of you makes things clearer, less or mor vital.. Meantime, this is written with a certain doubtrful passion.. words meant to ask specifics of self. Your final phrase hits home, albeit gently.. finely put. Many thanks for sharing.
