Vacancy

Vacancy

A Poem by Wendy Sue

Herein lies a vacancy,
in which there is no sign.
When has someone lived there?
I can't remember the last time.

The curb appeal is stunning.
Manicured, is the lawn.
I hear the lease is long term,
likely why more aren't drawn.

You can peek inside a moment,
just to get a glance.
Most get tired of waiting,
to meet the owner just by chance.

She says she wants it rented,
that doesn't seem to be the case.
How's it possible to fill a vacancy,
from an owner you have to chase?

This was a very good poem, and it left us with a very good question.
There is a mysteriousness around what you are saying here, especially about the owner.

' The curb appeal is stunning. ~ Manicured, is the lawn. ~ I hear the lease is long term, ~ likely why more aren't drawn. '

Acutely drawn, liberally worded. Beckoning. Beckoning peeps into a woman's thoughts, put in such a slick metaphorical way.. Some clever touches, let's say, neat as neat can be.. Hope the chase comes to a skid, halt and a lot of smiles - some time, in your chosen time!

Nice analogy. Manicured lawn line a little cheeky.

I take this to be a heart once broken now fearful of giving itself over again not willing to relive the hurt.
Now you're either reading this thinking "he got it "or "what a knob that English fella is. "
Either way I enjoyed
