The church building was cold, our arms brushed together, the electricity bubbling. Each atom was felt as it jumped between our bodies. I had never known that feeling, never knew what it meant to literally feel sparks, but I did now, it was purely innocent, untouched and clean. I knew at that moment that he was it, that I would give up so much for him. That nothing else mattered; I knew that at that moment everything would change because of his dopey grin and his uncharming ways and how for that split second when our elbows brushed, the world was shattered only to be quickly pieced back together; God’s finger slightly slipping to press the pause button in the moment that nothing would be the same that it was.
