rowboat

rowboat

A Poem by PerpetuallyJune

trapped in a dream
or a dream of a dream
stuck in a boat
rowing perpetually downstream
slowly but surely
gently and merrily
drifting parallel to the shore
nothing will ever be the same as before
arms are sore
from rowing rowing rowing
and at times hoping hoping hoping...
for something else, something more
than to be stuck
in a sinking boat floating downstream
and life is but a dream
and nothing is what it seems
