Drowning

Drowning

A Poem by PerpetuallyJune
"

On those feelings you get when you see a certain person. I wrote this a long time ago, and thankfully my mind isn't in as dark a place as it was then.

"

If I was a romantic,
I could say
that laying my eyes
upon you
day
by day
is like a breath of fresh air

But in reality
I’m not a romantic
and I’m not here
to please anyone

And seeing you
day
by day
is like plunging myself
into a sea
of ashes.

As if I wasn’t already drowning.
