HomeA Poem by PerpetuallyJuneOn loneliness and just wanting to be loved.
Echoes of yesterday's aches
The sky is black and the seas are blue I tried to patch up all the leaks There's more than I can count But what else is new I've got no place to live If home is where the heart is I admit I'm a little lost A little cold, a little tired, a little scared Out here on my rusty ship Ghosts of the past whisper in my ears Or maybe it's just the ocean breeze The rain pours and the sun shines I'll do my best to sail these salty seas But it'd be easier if I knew you were mine Let me come home to you Hold out your arms wide And tell me it'll always be true When you promise to stay by my side Out here on my rusty ship © 2015 PerpetuallyJune |
