We're All Running out of Goodbyes

We're All Running out of Goodbyes

A Poem by Stefon Napier
"

A Continuation of "We're Running Out of Earth" by Devin Mitchell Durbin Side poetry

"
We're all running out of goodbye's
and maybe it's good thing.
You don't have to depart from those
cherry voices
and warm noises.
Without goodbye's the world's Neverland
and so you don't have to make choices.

We're all running out of goodbye's
and so we're lost boys with no names
and no names make us fickle
and whatever manages to remain good
comes as a trickle.

But we are running out of goodbye's.
Too many for funerals of the young dead.
Too many for the dreams we cannot yet turn into bread.
Too little of
"Goodbye, my friend. But we are meeting again."
