We're All Running out of Space

We're All Running out of Space

A Poem by Stefon Napier
"

A companion and side poem to Devin Mitchell Durbin's poem "We"re All Running Out of Time" which can also be found on this website. Give that one a read to grasp this one.

"
I'll struggle when the Sun is gone,
Light a lonely cigarette and watch
the loose confetti ashes echo into
the growing black
For what's out of time
is also out of space
so should I fall asleep
I would awake in a dream
which is a natural consequence of fate.
And we are all running out of space.
War comes to that garden
and the among the lilacs we are fighting
for ourselves until the literature of
flowers is no more and we are left with
only clovers.
