The Current Spectrum

The Current Spectrum

A Poem by Stefon Napier

There is always red.
Blue.
Blue runs upon green
in the face of yellow
seven times a week.
A struggling rainbow
brightens it's purple
but society attacks so
it looks crimson instead.
White and Black do naught but juxtapose.
There is always red.

Very nice use of words. You made your point.
"but society attacks so
it looks crimson instead."
I liked the use of color. Color does have power over life and things. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

I enjoy the simplicity of this poem, and yet the depth and volatility that this poem implies, and of course we know that I love the use of juxtapose. There is a viral and angry bursting beast laying dormant below this one, and the ability to interpret it to mean many things, but the state of the world is so heavily hinted at. I love it Stefon.
