Trafalgar Square,London,United Kingdom

A Poem by Stefon Napier
"

Some of the words are how they are spelled in the United Kingdom

"

From the top of the world

Are all these avenues

Slow symbolic signs crafted by the sex of fate and honour

Into labour goes the moon

In the womb of the night,

Day.

At all times pushing pavements in front of us

England confides,

that every man will do his duty.

You said a lot in the short poem. Duty and honor. Words used and abused. A poem to create conversation with no real answers. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Wonderful imagery, beautiful language.. you really captured this one place in time so very well.

Lovely imagery! I particularly like the idea of the sex of fate and honour [bonus points for British spelling] creating the location.

In some ways our nations "birth" us. I really felt that in this poem.
