Dock Street, Middlesbrough (Afternoon)

Dock Street, Middlesbrough (Afternoon)

A Poem by Stefon Napier

Ranged life lives lively

For today I am so whole

My antiquity is narrow

 my breaths are sure

As I traverse this afternoon

I am colloquial to the Sun and its stars, the clouds

The warm sidewalk

It lounges me to linger

bested by peace, the persistent sound of humming

A kind of glory at ease

The way fame is at it's best when accompanied by dignity.

Good to know peace.
"I am colloquial to the Sun and its stars, the clouds"
To know some sort of ease allowed us to enjoy the balance of life. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Wonderful images, Stefon.. I especially loved the last line as it speaks such truth. Wonderful job on this one.

I love the last line. it strikes me as being reflective of a celebrity that existed once but is now gone. I enjoyed the mood of the piece as well as the word choice. Nice job.

Like the way the good language is framed by a situation, good work

Your poem is perfectly summed up when you say fame is best accompanied by dignity. This is wonderful writing.
