A Stage Away From Walden

I used to watch the lights of the city grow

 

and cast all else in shadow

 

When did the forest become a background

 

and birds become props

 

I won't live in the shades of the lights

 

Only a stage away from Walden

 

This lit place in my dreams

 

Where silence serves to guide those

 

Who make relics of the leaves
