summer

summer

A Poem by erika
"

what summer is like to people

"
A season bursting with color.
Livings thing bust of life.
New babies come to the world with wonder in their eyes.
The sun brings cheer to those who like hot weather.
Beaches would gobble people up like a hunger beast.
People would wish that this gem would never end.

K...I love the idea of this...but (please don't kill me...(brandishing my blocking pads because I'm not sure how this works here since it is an input column but i'm new here) I want to see more about you. I love this line "beaches would gobble people up like a hunger beast"....but from where did this really great (and I do mean great sincerely) description come from? What were you doing when it happened? Please understand I'm not trying to slam your writing. I love writing...I eat it like wheaties for breakfast....expand. And by expand I mean show me the full picture. What were you doing when this happened? How did you get this awesome line...were you lounging on the beach, your towel a red flag of anti establishment against the pink ones? I just think you have a lot to offer here. Bring in more personal stuff. (k....the blocking pads are in place pound away)
