It's All Going to End in Tears

 

I didn't expect this to happen, well at least not to me

It's something that knocks you sideways and before you know it

You are in too deep

You try your hardest to suppress your emotions

Your deepest, darkest, depressive thoughts and feelings

As you know it's going nowhere

But you just can't seem to help it

You struggle to keep a hold of the situation

And try not to spiral down into your own darkened internal space

You try to hold on for dear life

But you can feel yourself losing your grip

And you don't know how to stop it

You're trying to keep yourself afloat

Your head above water

But this negative gravitional force is too strong

And it's pulling you under

It's like a battle of two halves

A kind of ying and yang situation

Light and dark

Euphoria and despair

A no-win situation, which is only going to end in tears

You try to remain optimistic

Enjoy it while it lasts

And try not to analyse, scrutinise

Every action

Every conversation

Every moment spent

But you just can't seem to help it

In your heart and your soul

You know that

It's just all going to end in tears

Well written. There is something urgent about the love that forms when you know it has to end (before it even begins). Even though it ends in tears, this is my favorite kind of love.
