I Need to Get out

Although you've done my head in

It's still gonna be hard living without you

I feel numb, but still feel pain

 

I can't cry on your shoulder

And you can't cry on mine

We can't share our dreams together

We have to dream alone

 

I need to get out

 

Even though we need each other

I now have needs of my own

I've found it hard to admit that it was over

That I needed to be alone

 

I need to get out

 

I've lost myself within inside of you

I don't know who I am now

I'm completely confused

 

I need to get out

 

I still love you and always will

But I just can't live with what's happening

I'm suffocating and this suffocation, desperation  

Is too much to bear

 

I need to get out

A lovely repetitive poem. You really have a way with making the words flow even when repeating a line. It takes talent to do that.
