On a Path to Nowhere

As it takes a grip on your soul again,

I just don't know what to do.

Your pyschotic behaviour starts to re-emerge

And you are once again in denial

 

Just one more you say to me

But I know one's just never enough

Once it's entered your body

It's got you where it wants you

It consumes you

 

And starts to control your mind and body

Your rationality, sensitivity and afterthoughts

Fly away from you

And you drink yourself into oblivion

 

You don't hear me and you have no conscience

You are driven by your own selfishness and self destructive behaviour

Your addicted to being addicted and you don't even know it.

 

I can't understand what you are going through

But then again, can you understand how it's affecting me

I want you to treasure your life

But you are just content to disappear into another bottle of nothingness

And there's nothing I can do about it. 

So I sit there and watch you self destruct...
