Unspoiled

Unspoiled

A Story by sara

The sunlight hit Cassanrda's face stunning her eyes to a blur. The reflection off of the diamond in the ground was gorgouse and wonderful. The facets sparkled equisitley every time the light shown apon it, and even when the light was missing. Just not as completley mind-boggaling. What luck to have stumbled apon such a treasure! Cassandra thought gasping as a new wave of glitters came over the stone. Odd as it was to find a huge diamond just lying beneath the surface of a muddy hiking trail, Cassandra only tryed to pry the rock out of the ground with more force every pull. If she had not tripped on the trail the beautiful geo would never have been found and that would have been a terrible shame. Cassandra being 8 years of age did not think of the fortune this would bring her. In her mind there was no thought of money, just how much she wanted to keep the diamond forever in her bedroom. The young mind had always thought like that. Well the unspoiled minds of the young at least, and god praised those unspoiled. For they deserved extra treats.
