Welcome Home

When it's time to bid this world adieu

I'll cast aside my fears,

My Savior will be awaiting me

Ready to dry my tears.

The pain I've felt for so long now

Will never more be there,

Once I'm by my Father's side

There'll be no doubt how much he cares.

This journey on earth doesn't last very long

No longer than the blink of an eye,

So treat people good, be kind to yourself

It's not hard--just give it a try.

So when that day comes you'll be ready my friend

For the moment we're all waiting for,

The day when Jesus opens his arms

And welcomes you home forever more
