Noon Day Sun

Noon Day Sun

A Poem by jusssst me

I close my eyes against the brilliance of a noonday sun

My head tilts back, I smile, my skin warming under the golden rays

Unbidden, in that noonday sun, memories of you flood my senses.

Two chairs, one for you one for me.

The sun in your eyes

The smile on your beautiful face.

The strength in your neck

The power in your hands

I react to these things

My breath is quicker

There is a knot in the pit of my stomach,

anxiety replaces tranquility

A tear wells, escapes, it falls unbidden

Over the curve of my cheek,

The line of my jaw,

Jerking slowly down the length of my neck,

decending my chest to rest, ever so sweetly between my breasts.

Unbidden in that noon day sun, I can feel you.

Your lips upon my skin, your mouth upon mine

Your hands as they grip my wrists, hips calves thighs

The coolness of your sheets gripped tightly in my hands

The look on your face, when I take from you, that which you will  not willingly give.

Unbidden in that noon day sun…I remember you

Your laughter, your angst, your sadness your joy…

The smell of your skin

The taste of your sweat upon my lips.

A cloud covers the sun, my breathing slows, and the knot in my stomach slowly dissipates

My tear dries

I stand, slowly I open my eyes…

My breathing is normal, no anxiety remains like a leaded ball inside me.

I take a step, my feet bare

the cool crisp grass bending, breaking under my slow pace.

IN that noonday sun, I think to whispers of the future the possibilities of  the present.

I smile, I look around me, my smile grows…I walk on never looking back…that moment in the noonday sun forgotten….

Your gone.
