Drawing you

Drawing you

A Poem by smon
"

An attempt at recalling. I put this up on WC ages ago but lost the original :(

"
A drawing of you is forming in my head.
The parchment lays supine.
Friction teases out the lead,
Into these feeble lines.

Hatching pencil strokes and arching hand
Try to tame rivers of hair
Streaming, or caught weaving through blades of grass,
Beckoned by the wind.

My eye that sketches,
Rises like the sun -
To shine more light on you.
Dilating, a circular erection,
Marvels at the glory that the paper cannot hold

Emerging out of clumsy shapes - an oval, an ellipse,
I capture carbon copy curves that explode at the hips.
