the prints I leave do not forgive

the prints I leave do not forgive

A Poem by smon

the prints I leave do not forgive
my haunts they grieve, they beg to live
do not come back till you've done good
made peace with past and understood
the yelling it has made us deaf
i did your penance as you left
and in the cloak retracting light
image of you I dare to fight
for, you are not the one I want

(are you not you are you are not
and starting in the night I stop)

the outline dancing in the taunt
the figure figured out the clues
and morphed into her shape and shoes
with prints you leave, I do forgive
your haunts they breathe, for death to give
them termless lidding in the black
I watched you as your smalling back,
retreating form, the cornered smile

(I you I you I you I you
we battled and were black and blue)

surrendered whilst you stayed a while
