A Poem by sonyaroo
"

written on a plane flying west across the atlantic...

"

until the sun breaches the sanctity of these clouds;

until the last bubble drips from your lips and floats to the surface;

until the cavern of the bell rings out x - i - i;

until the insects scratch through their baby skins;

until your wounds begin to clot;

until every page is ash floating in the breeze;

until god's eyelids stick shut from his disease;

until everything crumbles away to dead dirt;

until your apple rots in your gut;

until the wind carries away our hopes and dreams;

until the excruciating itch behind your eyes blossoms and blooms;

until our bathtubs are flooded with tears;

until the perfect day arrives;

let me sleep in,

keep watch one more night
