I Dreamt of Dreams

I Dreamt of Dreams

A Poem by anonymous

Hello, she says
in her costume of lemonade
her jacket of gravity hangs
As her eye leans toward you
They scare the bandits, running across your neck
To fall off, and they hide
Your heart is sweating
Trying to break the roof and jump out
She winks,
Then, like an eclipse, disappears
Your mind gives up
And you fall
Into a volcano
Filled with steaming hot chocolate
It burns your skin
It all turns into a whirlpool
And you spin, spin
But then you appear
Laying
On your bed
Dinosaurs roam your room
An avalanche
And your room separates in two
As an earthquake torns apart your thoughts
Another matrix, universe
A luxury couch
With aliens, gold chains around their skinny necks,
Eating pizza.
Watching CNN
It's all wrong
But then you realize that this is reality
And the world you had lived in
Was stretching and mixing your brains
What the hell??
But where are the humans
And back you are again
New York, New York
Skeletons with hyena heads
And Jamaican hats flipped backwards
Speeding by you
What's wrong with you, man?
What's wrong with me?
Obama smoking crack
A maze filled with french bands
Women in red dresses
Holding alarms and laughing
Showing their gold teeth
And tattoos on their necks
Miles Davis playing on a parachute
AND YOU'RE IN THE SKY!
Just let go
And fly
Oh goooooood
I'm high
Literally and
Figuratively
Pandas doing handstands
You in Africa
With druglords
Martin Luther
Stephen King asking you
To SIGN HIS BOOK?
You turn
And fall
And you still don't know who Odd Future is.
