I'll come backA Poem by smkb90The day I left BoliviaI’m leaving but I promise to come back, I’m leaving for my mother’s land, I’m leaving my Bolivia behind.
I’m leaving but I promise to come back, Not even two full moons will go by
My dearest I must go, Take care of me, Don’t let me fall
I’m leaving but I promise to come back, To the land that fed me from her breast With her soft winds that caressed me at every wake.
My dearest I’m not going very far, Remember the tracks my footprints left on your dry land.
My dearest bid me farewell from your highest peak, From that same peak you’ll welcome me back, With the warm sun kissing my cheeks.
I’m leaving but I promise to come back, I’m leaving for my mother’s land, I’m leaving my Bolivia behind.© 2012 smkb90Reviews
