Please take my hand.

Please take my hand.

A Poem by Iliza Gold

Just please take my hand,
My eyes plead, they beg,
But he's unaware,
As usual.
He looks at me and smiles.
Oh, how close our fingers are!
Why won't he just take my hand?
But then again, why don't I take his?
Bad move, bad move,
I think to myself.

This game we keep playing,
Is getting a little dull.
My palms are getting sweaty,
And my patience is running thin.
My hand is open and waiting.
And I'm praying within.
Just please take my hand...
