You are alone

You are alone

A Poem by Chassity Smith

In here,
You are alone

You are your worst enemy,
You are your own death

Listen...
Can you hear them?

The voices never fade,
They only grow in Isolation

Drowning,
I am drowning

Seas of memories that won't go away,
Waves of emotions that cut like a dull knife

Open your eyes,
You are alone

The torture is only caused by you,
But yet there is no end

The knife gets duller,
You get older

Suffering alone,
Isolated with the voices

There is no end,
You are alone

This seems dark and heartbreaking... It looks like the person is sitting in a dark lonely room with so much pain in her heart and loneliness grabs her... With each and every passing second she is drowning in pain and darkness...

I like the structure of the poem and the simple use of words that really makes the poem very catchy...

Sincerely
Dhiman
