IF YOU LEAVE MEA Poem by JENYwrote in memory of an old friendIF YOU LEAVE ME If you leave me From far beyond the mountains Clouds of loneliness May jump upon me As if destined by nature’s ways If you leave me Words may forget to awake Songs may lose their rhythm My dreams may scurry for meaning As if destined by world’s ways If you leave me A search may surge in me For some thing new but similar to you To fill in the blanks Your departure left in my soul If you leave me I may view the future As a void eerier than death Deeper than dark ocean’s bed Bitter and sour like ennui As if destined by the stars of my birth If you leave me I will have to live With a hope in pain That you will come back To lick and heal my wounds That your separation incurred in me. © 2011 JENYReviews
