I SWEAR I DONT KNOWA Poem by JENYA poem...I SWEAR I DON’T KNOW Life gave me a mask Appropriate for my world Everybody helped me to fix it Kindly they said “you must” Instincts hate masks of
evolutions They loath masked
civilizations. Swelling power of the
instincts Crush the masks into shreds Whenever I took away my mask They called me nude,
uncivilized.. I am jealous of monkeys, my
forefathers!!! Who enjoyed nudity of a
genuine life. Inside the mask I inhaled CO2
That my nose let out, in
excess.. Not finding the air to
sustain life My body ate what it execrated I lived like a dead body That expired many a time Death after death I came out Like a zombie waiting for
another death. Like a clown, like a robot I am punctual and duty
conscious Like a slave, like an
imbecile I am obedient and afraid of
change. Like a doll I am precise In wearing my mask in the
morning Though I took it away before
sleep In dreams I knew I am not
free from mask Oh my!! Now I do not even
feel .. That there is a mask on my
face.. I swear I don’t know.. When did I fall in love with
it. I swear I don’t know…!! When did it dissolve in my
profile. I swear…. © 2010 JENYReviews
