A THESIS ABOUT WOMAN'S TEARS

A THESIS ABOUT HER TEARS

Talking tears

Emotional tears

Annoying tears

Repressed tears

Sham tears

These are her tears

Everybody thinks

All those drops have same hue

Redness of sadness in all of them

So many see them with pity

Thrice she cries for luxury

Eight times she cries for her child

Always cries for love

Repeated futility fills her eyes each time

Still she repeats the cycle

To her tears, men are much susceptible

Even if he fails to pour his own.

Almost always his eyes are dry

Replete with sadness unexpressed

Sorrows of him are jealous of her tears.

Tender is his heart as hers

Earnest are his feelings as hers

Ambitious are his longings as hers

Restless are his veins as hers

Still his eyes do not water as hers

Tired of his own tearless eyes

Envied of her tearful eyes

Annoyed by her sweet sensitivity

Researched results he released

Surpressed his inferiority in vain

Thus read his thesis about tears

Eyes that pour tears are cunning..

Anomalies can exist between eyes and tears

Reason need not exist behind her tears…

So, her tears too can be crocodile tears!!!

in the university of life...

all professors were males

everybody approved the thesis

thus they harvested degrees

research is going on....

in fixed static compartments...

This begins on a certain note and then takes a totally unpredictable turn. There are just so many dimensions to this poem..i simply love once you start with..

Surpassed his inability for tenderness..so so well thought, and so very insightful. It takes a lot of effort to write on the varying psyche..cause both male and female psychology have such an intricate pattern.Very strong and very very well written.

wow!!! that's all i could say right now, i love the way you compare men from women, the tears of a woman was exclusively for her, only for her...it's a god given weapon for us... =D

Another brave acrostic poem! I must say that I prefer this to the last acrostic poem of yours that I read :) I'm not confused about the message in places this time. The only thing that bothered me was the ending... it seemed a bit cold in comparison to the rest of the poem? I'm not entirely sure... it might just be me of course, but it just didn't seem to fit well with the rest. Either way, I still enjoyed this and you've improved since your last acrostic write. Great work!

I remember the other poem you did like this, but this time it's much more organized. Each stanza is an idea of it's own and worked out very well. The only thing that I was confused about is that in the beginning of the poem I thought it would be about the many reasons women cry. Then it seemed to go into a comparison of men and women which twisted into almost a jealous thing. Then at the end I sensed a bit of coldness or a scientific approach. Not bad though. :)

I liked this. Its very true. Tears come from a lot of things, but I think a lot of women take advantage of them. Nice work.

Interesting piece.. I would reconsider the first stanza though.. it felt shallow and somewhat forced to me, especially when sitting next to the rest of the piece.

Wow. There isn't a better way of getting out your message here. A woman cries many tears about all sorts of things and yes she can get a man to do whatever she wants, but at the same time she knows this hence the crocodile tears. This is great, I love your view of man and woman.

In this poem I see you are taking a similar approach to that used in your poem 'Woman' that I reviewed a few days ago. This time you seem to have really benefitted from the decision to follow a particular pattern for the first letter of each line (spelling out TEARS) and I can't see any parts where it seems artificial or forced.

I think this poem clearly breaks into four parts. Initially we are given a view of womens tears in almost a misogynistic way. It's almost as if the lines have been inspired by the average crass male. This is particularly true when they're described as 'annoying' and 'sham'. There then follows a short explanation of why women cry and an impression that it's almost an addiction, 'still she repeats the cycle'. What follows next is a sharp change in direction as there's a minor admission that sometimes tears can be used to influence men and that tears for them are something very different: perhaps even impossible to summon. This finally reverts to the misogynistic theme it began with, this time with the narrator confirming that there may be an element of truth in this extremist thinking, 'So, her tears too can be crocodile tears!!!'.

This poem works very well with the fixed structure you've defined. I'd say it's a worthy successor to your previous work. Well done!

I like this poem. The set-up and the story was amazing. Tears are necessary for us to release pain and suffering. Also the tears show we are still alive and have a heart. A outstanding poem. Thank you.
