IT IS YOU

 

I say him I love him

He squiggles like a worm

Yes I love you, I say

Him, I love him, I say.

 

It is not your beauty that I need

My love plant does not yield

Anything so light or so naughty.

That I need, it is not your beauty.

 

I need you in my dry life

Give myself a feeling safe.

My dear love, I believe you.

In my dry life, I need you.

 

Each woman searches for a man

It is mapped in her life’s span

Till she finds one, she never perches

For a man, each woman searches.

 

You are my man says my soul

My soul never betrays my call.

Soul’s secrets about my destiny it share

Says, my man, my soul, you are…!!!

Yeah, another love poem.
Five stanzas, four lines each, AABB would be the closest thing it comes to in terms of rhyming. THe wording works agaisnt the flow, though. It makes it a rather difficult poem to read; revision could fix this. Regardless, I'm sure it'll be a worthy contest entry.
