MY NIGHTS, MY DREAMS, MY FRIENDS

MY NIGHTS, MY DREAMS, MY FRIENDS

A Poem by JENY
"

Written in a sleepless night, thinking of you, my friends... and the world...

"

                        MY NIGHTS

                 MY DREAMS

                       MY FRIENDS

Night

Ignorant of seductions

Gambol in electric lights

Histrionic moon paces along

Temple’s deity slept in a peace, pessimistic

Night

In the immunity of pimps

Girls followed coyly

History smirked at king’s

Testosterone charged wallets

Night

Into this

Gates opened for Christ

Harbinger of peace and justice

Tell me where he has gone

Night

Imbeciles slept

Genius kept vigil

Honest went in search of

Temples sans idols and mortals

Night

I am dreaming of

Great days yet to be born

Hesitating, myself, to come out

To teach, prepare the world around me

Night

Ink in my pen

Graciously scribble languages

Hoping to pour out my longings, thoughts

Till this moment, which I kept to myself.

Night

I implore my friends,

Great writers of tomorrow

Have a look at, my soul, my blood

To review, to criticize, praise, guide, and admonish.

Night

Irksome however

Gruesome whatever

Honest, if they are

Tell me without diluting.

Night

Ignore who I am

Give up misgivings of my sensitivity

Help me to grow up in your criticism

To tone up my mussels of creativity..

Night

Imp,review my poems

Gunmetal, review my fictions

Hart-Ed, review my non fictions

Tate morgan you review myself.

It's a dramatic piece that does not go way too overboard. I find it a simple and reflective piece. I think you've shown here, not just your own opinion of how nights can be such rare jewels, but how there exists different ways to look at the night. This is interesting.

Keep Writing. ^___^

This was a great acrostic cum soliloquy, a great one...I loved it!
It is so deep and intense and painfully beautiful..I loved it, I loved it!

Very nice Jeny, I didn't realize until the last line what this was about . (I spent a sleepless night chatting withTate last week and Stars emerged)

A most interesting soliloquy. Well written, well expressed. Good use of the word Night (can't remember what they call it at the momnet), makes it interesting. Overall, a nicely doen poem.

I think Poet's World is pretty wrong about this. This is probably the best acrostic poem I ever had the honor of reading. Night, Imagery swirling fantastic, Great vocabulary, Having much to say as a writer, To those it may concern
=)

You do a really good job with developing poems around words and their spelling. Great job.

Dear JENY,

This is an excellent poem. Within the difficult boundaries of an acrostic poem you managed to write something out of the ordinary. The stanza

"Night
Ignore who I am
Give up misgivings of my sensitivity
Help me to grow up in your criticism"

is particularly inspired. Well done.

Very best regards,

Rick
