A Toast to No Regrets

A Toast to No Regrets

A Poem by mmmbacon

If you if i said i wanted you to eat me,
would you do it ?
and if so would it be elegant,
theres no telling what your capeable of,
would you eat my heart out first
and describe the taste postmortem
would you take my eyes out too,
you always went on how you adored them
i can always imagine you tearing them,
ripping them out with pride
standing tall for all to know,
you took me for a ride.
like an addiction to a substance,
that you can't be taken off
no methadone or therapy could have ever made this stop.
Would you chop my skin in pieces,
or strips of thin slit meat
would you bake me in with chocolate chips
on a f*****g cookie sheet  ?
would you mold me into a sculpture,
or a pretty figurine;  make me something permanent
not an actor on the scene.
scenes change, acts follow, working through the steps.
tight chest, hard to swallow, stealing burning breaths ;
you know nothing will be the same,
you look and nothings left
so take this time you have ,
and toast to no regrets .
