Heartless Beast

Heartless Beast

A Poem by Kathleen Burlas

Inside the dark wide room
Is a girl in the corner
While all the others sleep
She stays up and thinks
This heartless beast
Made a beautiful girl cry
Broke her heart unevenly
Without giving time to heal

Unfaithful, insensitive and blur
That's how absurd this beastly human is
No heart to care, no heart to love

But our beautiful girl fell
Loved the heartless beast
Showered him with selfless love
She took the risk and jumped
Such heartless beast
Didn't care to catch
He let her fall to the ground
With his wicked heartless being
