Insensitive

Insensitive

A Poem by Kathleen Burlas

He's unconsciously hurting me
Those words that I said
He tossed them in the air
Ignored it like  it's invisible
He just don't know
How much courage I breathed in
It wasn't that easy
For me to utter those words
But just like an unwanted toy
He didn't pay his attention
I smile for cover
This prince is just a little insensitive
Got a new name for him
He's Mr. Insensitive
My poor little hearty
Has fallen for an insensitive prince
Like a giant Kraken
He dragged my feelings ocean deep
And like the calm ocean breeze
He rests like nothing happened

I can relate, my dear. Putting so much into someone who hardly bats an eye towards your efforts hurts. ): Just remember, love is blind. Your mind can create an aura around someone, making them seemingly perfect, and put them up on a pedestal. Doesn't make it true and it doesn't make them worth your time. Love cannot be one sided if it is ever to flourish.

Oh wow!! This is truly amazing!! So fluent and touching, in a way that everyone can understand. Just beautiful and simply :)
