New Door

New Door

A Poem by Kathleen Burlas
"

"Time heals all wounds."

"
Countless tears spent on my love for you
Like almonds of diamonds, priceless they were
I've given up a thousands for you to know
But like a soft feather that falls on ground,
They touch these rosy cheeks unheard

So enough of this fairy tale fantasy of you.
For a love that was never meant to be,
Holding on's the last thing for me to do

So as these feelings went wandering about,
I drowned myself in shadows of disguise.
Weeks and months passed by like air,
Then suddenly, the pain just went away
Now see me smile again in harmony
For this broken road of yours
Finally paved a new door for me
