Wrong Journey

Wrong Journey

A Poem by Kathleen Burlas

Another day has gone
But I'm still as solitary as before
Alone with this feeling in my chest
I hear the wind carefully whisper to my ear
A song so seemingly sad and slow
Lingering those tattooed memories in my head

But he doesn't seem to know
Doesn't even seem to care what his heart is fore
Well he's perfectly amazing
But I don'y need a guy like him
He's taking too much time
Burning the very last candle I have in store for him
With tears running down like razor blades
I must confess, he's all that I need
But like the stars, he's certainly unreachable
I sigh with a thing in my mind
That maybe I've took the wrong road
And started the wrong journey in the first place
