Clawing

Clawing

A Poem by Bats In The Belfry

scraping and clawing I lay in my bed
thoughts of you rape through my head
tossing and turning I have had enough
you've bruised me and maimed me
I thought I was tough
get out of me leave my pieces to peace
I dispel you, I loath you
your a horrible beast
what right do you have to posses my mind
your demons will not ride me this time
scraping and clawing to find no way out
because of you this is what my life will be...
 without.

Intense. Nicely done.

Dark and very visual. The lack of punctuation actually adds to the atmosphere of the piece: something off-key that hints at a darker, more foreboding truth. Your graphic choice of words have a way here of "clawing" into the reader's mind. Well done.

Short, yet incredibly involved, emotionally and with flowed perfection, well done, good read.
