A single moment of sincerity

I have everything I could ever want and more,

I have someone who will miss me if I ever left the shore,

I have people right beside me in everything I do,

And what I love the most is what I have with you.

Unfortunatelly greed will be the death of me,

I have everything and more, but I'm too blind to see,

I feel I'm at my best whenever I'm with you,

But when you're not around, I never fail to choose.

Every night I drown myself in past mistakes and alcohol,

The aftermath of which, hides in fear of what you saw,

The thoughts and dreams of a badly broken man,

Found at the bottom of a bottle and a nearby beer can.

I hoped this time would be the last, but these thoughts wear off too fast,

Tonight I'll still be missing you, and praying this'll last.
