A tale of two hearts

A tale of two hearts

A Poem by SMDCHV

A tale of two hearts, embedded in stone,
Far from the place, they used to call home,
I hear their calls, like the ones of deceased,
I hear their cries, as they run from the beasts,
I feel their breath at the back of my neck,
Both of them we call, emotional wrecks,
They long for each other in the darkest of nights,
And die for each other in the middle of fights,
No one can save them and no one can hear,
The pain when they say, "I love you my dear".
