The LossA Poem by SMDCHV
She sleeps alone through yet another night,
Awaiting the return of her beloved white knight,
But oh thank god she doesn't know,
He lost his life killed in the war,
The shadows creeping 'round her bed,
Clouding the thoughts inside of her head,
The demons whispering inside of her ear,
"He'll never come back, you've lost him my dear."
The lurking insanity, waiting to show,
A beautiful girl we lost in the snow,
For better or worse she's standing aside,
A beautiful memory her heart will reside,
If she were to know, she'd lose her mind,
If she were to know, she'd end her time,
But oh thank god she doesn't know,
We can't afford to lose another soul.
