Whispers without Words
A Poem by SM Davis
no idea....
In this place between dusk and dawn I sit and wonder...wander perhaps? Time stops yet in the distance the ticking of the days goes on.
Something's wrong...
No words from distant lover come or perhaps silence has overcome This moment...our moment... our space our time...
No reason to rhyme...
Only silence that deafens or perhaps defends? A life lived inside the mist yet possessed no existence
more real than present tense...
Terse and waning words gone by fill this space between dark and dawn a weakness of presence and void still this...a moment...remembered
or dream dismembered
fighting still...a rush of wind or whispers without words loud enough to wake me from my slumber bed
or dreaming words unsaid

Wow, the contradictions in this one, Susie....amazing! You have vividly described the screaming sound of silence...
Love stanza beginning with 'Terse....right up to the marvelous conclusion...
Is existance/existence? Or did you do that deliberately? Or am I wrong? lol. Anyway, wonderful work, as always! Happy New Year!
