As tolling bells did in distance ring
no visit from Templar’s ghost did bring
heaving sadness upon mine breast is now
guile in absence this soul mine doth vow
Down on knees in genuflection I bend
lowered face a prayer whetted to Thee I send
if angels there be upon wings steady fly quick
for die would I rather than a love wrong pick
“Hear this, deity mine, thy absence speaks clear
upon marriage bed may I lay, a love not his pierce
if a word from mine lips doth escape to ears Thine
send a love true to whom belongs this heart mine
deliver oh Lord me from this hellish entwine
and into the wind these words mine love find
care not I that forever cold be his touch upon me
much more would I rather mine heart to be free”
Stand here do I in silks finest degree
marriage vows taken meant not they for me
my Templar thy chaste vow for me now deny
for passion held in thy soul to this love mine reply
Behold candle’s flame does flicker and wary
wind reflect ice craved chill love thine carry
as to the floor finest silk cover mine falls
upon this bed fall ghost passion mine to thee calls
For this moment craved have I thee from birth until now
this body mine give I to thee beyond sacred vow
lay here I nude for mine soul possess thee
Mine Templar mine Knight possess thou now me
As love’s embrace to an end quickly comes
know by mine voice as to window I run
Never once not let me ever be free
Eternity share shall I always with thee
as from window I jump setting this mine soul free.
